Skullface, Dressed for Success

I’ve been working on the plots for a group of linked short stories called Gods vs. Monsters vs. NJ. In short, it’s about the Jersey Devil, the most popular urban legend in NJ, who “abandoned his post” 25 years ago. The stories tell of why he left, the search for him, and the consequences of his departure. The idea came from a series of doodles I did about various monsters and supernatural beings located in my home state. The collection will be illustrated with the various characters and some short comic strips I’ve already done.

The first drawing I’ve actually completed happens to be a possessed balloon nicknamed Skullface, who happens to be mysteriously close to the Jersey Devil.  He doesn’t normally dress up like this, only for a certain occasion that happens in the last story.
